Mustard Seed Market & Café’s Hemp Luxe is quickly becoming the gold standard in the CBD arena

When Ohio Senate Bill 57 was signed into law by Governor Mike DeWine last month, legalizing the cultivation of hemp and the sale of cannabidiol (CBD) products in the state of Ohio, it brought clarity to the blurred regulations that did not differentiate between hemp and marijuana.
“The legal gray area in our state has evaporated as we now have equalized state and federal law,” says Abraham Nabors, who, along with his brother, Gabe, manages Mustard Seed Market & Café founded by their parents, Margaret and Phillip Nabors.
“We have been selling hemp extract products in our store for the past two years and are excited to be able to help so many more people now that the bill has been signed into law removing any unclear regulatory issues. It will also help local farmers who have been hit hard by the wet weather and tariffs.”
According to Abraham, CBD is the fastest growing product in the history of dietary supplements.
This spring, Mustard Seed launched Hemp Luxe in its stores and online. A proprietary formula made for this locally owned grocery store, this new line of full-spectrum hemp extract includes oil tinctures, soft gels, topical creams and balms.
“Hemp Luxe already is the No. 1 selling CBD brand in our store,” says Abraham.
“It is a natural fit for us as we have been selling the most effective natural dietary supplements for 38 years, along with natural and organic food. We only use certified organic hemp, and the products are third-party tested to make sure there are no synthetic pesticides and herbicides. We sourced the most medicinally beneficial, non-GMO hemp we could find.”
“CBD is the future of medical marijuana because we find that people don’t want to get high but just want relief,” he adds. “With the ingestibles, you get whole-body relief from the inside out. In order to be legally defined as hemp, the product has to have less than 0.3 percent of THC, which is the intoxicating chemical in marijuana.
“This supplement is amazing and helping so many people,” says Abraham. “Our customers tell us the top three reasons they love using our CBD products are for pain, anxiety and sleep support.”
“We were one of the early adopters of CBD, just like we are with many of the other innovative health care products that come down the pike,” he comments.
“We developed our product based on advantages we found compared to the national brands, looking at potency, ingredients and price. Not all CBD products flooding the market are created equal. Not only is our product made from certified organic hemp, but it is also more potent and costs less than others.”

“We are working on future products including gummies and other innovative delivery formats,” says Abraham. “This fall we will debut a line specifically for pets so our furry friends can also benefit from hemp products.”
