You just sunk a high-pressure putt on Bunker Hill’s 18th hole. Now, as you trek back to Bunker’s Grill to wind down with a cold one, you can only hope that Jordan Spieth doesn’t choke on the back nine like he did two years ago, costing you some big prize money.

That tense scenario could easily play out at Bunker Hill’s Masters Tournament on Sunday, April 8. The unique fundraiser combines the scores of the pros playing in Augusta, Georgia, with the scores of your three-man scramble team to vie for a top cash prize of $1,800.

The sold-out tournament illustrates the imaginative events held at Medina County’s oldest and most storied golf course, emphasizes General Manager Chad Gibson.

“We like to think out of the box and have a lot of fun here,” Chad adds.
Fun, he says, is the main ingredient in the numerous fundraisers held at Bunker Hill.

“Fundraisers and special events have always been my passion,” Chad reveals. “When you hold an event here, we do all of the work. All you have to do is have fun, enjoy your guests and receive a big check at the end of the day.”

The Bunker Hill staff handles all of the set-up, cooking, serving, cleanup, signage and scoring. They even create a dedicated website where people can register in advance, as well as a Facebook event page.

The spacious facility offers a variety of venues to host personal and business events from birthdays to weddings to meetings, Chad says.

“We can do anything from a relaxed graduation party with pizza, wings and salad at our pavilion to a fine dining experience with linen tablecloths and chair covers,” Chad says.

In February, Chad proudly introduced Bunker’s Grill’s new chef, Roger Hardman, who brings 35 years of experience to the restaurant.

Roger will introduce a brand new menu in April, but you can get a taste of his culinary talents at Bunker’s Grill’s Easter Day buffet, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The feast will include a carving station featuring roasted Black Angus strip loin and ale glazed baked ham. Reservations are required.

Leading up to Easter, you may want to stop in for Bunker’s Grill’s Friday evening Lenten specials, featuring beer battered cod and Chad’s favorite, the Norwegian salmon filet. Dinner is served from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m.

On Saturday, April 7, Bunker Hill will host an evening adult Easter egg hunt to benefit Ignite Dance Studio, in Brunswick Hills.

“You get a flashlight to search for eggs containing adult prizes,” Chad explains. “We’ll be raffling off at least one $500 grand prize.”

Online registration is required at app.eventcaddy.com/events/ignite-adult-easter-egg-hunt.

While enjoying the fun times and delicious food, don’t forget about golfing.
