By integrating a myriad of holistic modalities, the team of health care practitioners at Whole Body Health Clinic in Medina have healed people by addressing ailments at the root level: cellular energy.

“We are living in a world that is depleting us faster than it is rebuilding us,” says Dr. Tim Weeks, who founded the clinic in 2004.

“When stressors, such as poor diet, stress and overexposure to electronics bombard the body, cellular function suffers and so does a patient’s health. Whether that results in weight gain, lowered energy or chronic illnesses, at Whole Body Health, we forgo traditional drugs and surgeries that suppress symptoms and instead find ways to naturally restore health and energy to the body.”

Dr. Weeks is a chiropractor at heart. While chiropractic care remains the basis of the treatments at Whole Body Health, Dr. Weeks says that after his very first year in practice, he began to imagine a path that took chiropractic care to a higher level.

Today, the clinic has evolved to include a Himalayan salt room, a health food store, Live 02 exercise with oxygen, medical weight loss and immune system testing, just to name a few of the medical services offered in addition to traditional chiropractic treatments. Whenever a breakthrough treatment is discovered, such as laser acupuncture, it’s introduced at the clinic.

The level of care is highly personalized and one-on-one, with the overall goal of each patient living his or her life to its best potential.

Working in concert with Dr. Weeks on the multi-disciplinary team are Dr. Matt Marr, a chiropractor, and Dr. Alphonzo Monzo III, a naturopathic doctor.

Dr. Marr practiced for many years in Wadsworth as a chiropractor and is an honors graduate of the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa.

It Begins with Nutrition
Dr. Weeks says a patient’s journey to wellness begins with nutrition.

He cautions that many products on the market claim to be organic but are truly far from it. As a service to patients, he opened an all-natural health food store in 2013.

Any food item needed to achieve optimum nutrition is available in the jam-packed store, such as locally sourced, grass-fed dairy and beef, sprouted grains, spices, produce, canned goods, cooking oils, snack foods and more.

They also offer a host of dietary supplements that target minerals people lack for healthy cell function.

“After going through rigorous testing, we determine the best diet and supplementation, cutting all sugar and processed foods, to fix digestion,” he says.

“We replenish the body with minerals, enzymes and vitamins, then we reset allergies and autoimmune disease. After that we restore energy by oxygenating the cells through Live O2 exercise and reset the energy circuits of the body through chiropractic treatments and acupuncture.”

Healing Salt Restores Health
After researching the benefits of salt therapy, the doctors chose to build a Himalayan salt room within the sprawling spa-like setting of the clinic.

“We are constantly bombarded by positive ions through the electronics in our everyday life,” says Dr. Weeks.

“We built the salt room to replenish the body with negative ions that carry electrons. Himalayan salt contains 84 trace minerals that help naturally regulate the body’s functions. Just one treatment in the room and patients feel refreshed, relaxed and restored.”

He also notes studies have shown that inhaling salt particles may reduce inflammation, as well as mucus in the lungs, improving a host of respiratory issues including asthma, allergies, sinus congestion and ear infections.

Within a room of glowing walls of salt and warmed salt on the floor, patients relax in cushy black leather chairs and listen to whole-tone therapeutic music for an ultra-soothing experience.
