Need a few last-minute holiday gifts, or maybe the cash to buy those gifts? Just one stop at Chagrin Falls Gold and Coins in Bainbridge will do.

“We buy, sell or trade gold and silver, diamonds, coins, jewelry and collectibles,” says owner Cara Reider.

“This is a passion for me and my husband, Clint. From the coins and jewelry to the unique collectibles we carry, we are extremely knowledgeable and ready to help you make the most of your buy, sell or trade.”

Cara and Clint Reider recently opened the Chagrin Falls Gold and Coins after the success of their Painesville location.

“We love introducing people to the joys of collecting, whether it be coins or other items,” says Cara. “And not only is collecting fun, but it can also be very lucrative, whether you’re looking for fast cash or a long-term investment.”

As a coin collector himself, Clint attends trade shows and works with dealers to continually educate himself and to find the rare and unique items to sell.

“We have a very large inventory,” says Clint. “It’s often difficult to find a coin dealer who has the rare items you are looking for, or has the knowledge to help you. We have both. And if I don’t have what you’re looking for, I can usually find it.”

For Clint and Cara, it’s all about forming relationships with their customers.

“We have people come in for many different reasons,” says Cara. “Often it’s with jewelry that has been sitting in a drawer and they want to know what it’s worth. We will buy it, or we can work with you to redesign it and create something you will love to wear.”

Clint and Cara sell jewelry at wholesale prices. So, before you head to a jewelry store for that engagement ring, you may want to check out their selection.

“People bring in old rings, and even loose stones,” says Cara. “Maybe they’ve inherited something, or gotten a divorce and want to start fresh. Our wholesale prices may allow you to afford much more. And we can work together with our jewelry designer to help you create exactly what you want.”

A walk through Chagrin Falls Gold and Coins reveals part jewelry store and part collectible shop. Cara and Clint love to hear the stories behind the items people bring in.

“Our customers become friends,” says Cara. “They know they can trust us to give them the best prices, locate something they’ve been searching for, or just listen to their story and help them pass along a family heirloom or find the perfect gift.”

Whether you’re looking for a unique collectible for the sports fan, the kitsch collector, or the Elvis lover on your list, Chagrin Falls Gold and Coin is the place to shop.

“Instead of toys or video games for kids, why not start them on a coin collection?” suggests Clint. “Kids love the idea of holding something in their hand that’s old and has a history. It’s a hobby that lasts a lifetime, not to mention an investment in a child’s future.”

For Clint and Cara, a lot of their business is about the past.

“For lots of people, the past is painful,” says Cara. “Whether it’s a death, or divorce, sometimes we hold on to things that remind us of something we’re trying to forget. Why not take that thing, bring it to us, and use the cash to create a happy ending?”
