Avid runners, who often can be seen sprinting around town with their two young children in a jogging stroller, Bill and Liz Bedford know firsthand about achieving peak performance and staying healthy.

Last summer they turned their health and wellness passion into a family business to help others enhance their overall health. Drawing on his years of experience as a physical therapist, Bill, along with Liz, who is a certified medical exercise specialist, opened Ferrell-Whited Physical Therapy Services Berea.

“Our services complement one another,” says Bill, who ran cross country and track at Strongsville High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in economics management from Ohio Wesleyan University and a doctor of physical therapy degree from the University of Maryland.

“We provide a place where we not only offer physical therapy but also transition programs that bridge the gap for clients who want to continue strengthening after they have completed physical therapy.”

As one of the few private practice physical therapy clinics in Northeast Ohio, Ferrell-Whited offers personalized, one-on-one care. From post-surgical therapy to chronic pain management, sports-related injury rehab and balance restoration, they provide comprehensive services in a warm and caring environment. Bill also is certified in dry needling, a treatment that involves inserting a very thin needle into trigger points or tight muscles to relieve pain and restore healthy muscle function.

To complement the physical therapy services, Liz offers personal fitness training, as well as small group fitness classes that include Glide Disc Sliding Class, Senior Fit & Flabless and Walk-N-Play Class for parents and children.

“Whether you want to lose weight, train for a marathon, build your strength and flexibility or attain a healthier lifestyle, together we can achieve your fitness goals,” says Liz, who also is certified in pre- and post-natal fitness to safely work with moms who want to stay fit and healthy during and after pregnancy.

“Our goal is to improve clients’ lives by helping them increase function and decrease pain,” says Bill. “Even if they don’t have an injury, we can help anyone be stronger and healthier.”
