Instead of longing for the days when youth caressed your appearance, you can harness the power of your body’s own platelet-rich plasma to turn back the hands of time—without drugs or surgery.

Dr. Laurel Matthews, a board-certified physician with more than 35 years of practice experience and the owner of Dr. Laurel’s PRP Bar, offers a variety of procedures designed to bring natural beauty back to the face.

After evaluating the individual concerns of each patient, Dr. Laurel maps out a treatment plan that incorporates PRP (platelet-rich plasma). After a blood draw, she spins the platelet-rich plasma out of the blood and uses it either topically or via injection.

“Everyone is different,” Dr. Laurel notes.

“Together we’ll identify the areas where as a consequence of aging there has been volume, contour and elasticity loss, then determine how best to treat them. Typically that includes adding volume to the cheeks to lift them up, lifting an inferior tear trough back to appear less tired, lifting the corners of the mouth to restore beauty and lifting the nasal labial folds to create a more youthful shape and correct asymmetry. For the Vampire Facelift, I incorporate Juvederm to sculpt and create shape and use PRP to polish and refine.”

The less invasive Vampire Facial features micro-needling on the face and neck with a topical application of your body’s platelet-rich plasma.

“Using PRP in the process produces a significantly greater result,” Dr. Laurel says. “You will notice a dramatic difference in your skin before you leave the office. It’s that effective.”

“I have been specifically trained as an expert in performing both the Vampire Facelift and Vampire Facial, which are patented techniques for creating an ageless face,” she adds. “PRP promotes the growth of new fat cells and connective tissue (to restore collagen and elastin) and blood vessels (to restore color) on the face. And it lasts one to two years.”

A third option in Dr. Laurel’s Ageless Face arsenal is Under Eye Rejuvenation. All procedures can be customized to suit individual needs.
