To expand its esthetic and laser services, Dolcé Organic Salon, Med Spa & Salt Room has recently hired a new medical director and nurse practitioner.

Meet Dr. John E. Kocka and Nurse Practitioner Janette Vodhanel. Both came on board here this month.

“We’re thrilled to welcome these medical professionals to our Med Spa,” says owner Linda Machalicek.

“They have impressive resumes backed by expertise in the field of anti-aging treatments.”

Dr. Kocka interned at Fairview Hospital and Cleveland Clinic, completing his residency in family medicine with a specialty in sports medicine. He holds the rank of colonel at the 910 Air Force Reserve Base, where he served as chief of medicine, receiving the Air Force commendation medal.

“He was also medical director for NASA Glenn and completed a fellowship at the Cenegenics Medical Institute for anti-aging in Washington D.C.,” adds Linda.

“He’s board-certified in family medicine, age management and regenerative medicine from the American Academy of Anti-aging and the Age Management Medical Group. He’s a member of too many boards to list here. Needless to say, we are proud to have him on staff.”

Taking Anti-Aging Services to the Next Level
Just in time for putting your best face forward over the holidays, Nurse Practitioner Janette Vodhanel specializes in injectables such as Botox and Juvederm. She’s also got significant experience under her belt with the Cynosure laser for skin rejuvenation.

“Coming soon, look for micro-needling and PRP (platelet rich plasma) facials,” she says. “These facials isolate the richest part of a client’s blood—the platelets—and use them during a facial to encourage cell turnover for revitalized skin.”

Janette started her career as an RN in critical care in the post anesthesia care unit of a hospital. She went back to school to become an NP in 2004.

“Utilizing the advanced technology of lasers and injectables, I love making people feel better about themselves,” she says. “I find if they like the way they look, they tend to take better overall care of themselves. It has a positive domino effect.”

According to Linda, who says she interviewed countless people before finding Janette, “She understands that using holistic treatments and methods help clients to be the most beautiful and confident they can be.”

The “Three for Me” laser treatments address three of the most common skin concerns——wrinkles, sun damage and facial veins all within one treatment.

And at Dolcé, the term “healthy” is held to a higher standard. All of Dolcé’s Oway products and services are bio-dynamic. Their devotion to wellness and beauty spans hair and nail departments, facials and massage, a salt room and infrared sauna.
