After much inspiration, anticipation, experimentation, brainstorming, taste-testing, a pinch of this and a dollop of that, this month the wildly inventive chefs at Danny Boys Broadview Heights are introducing their menu.

“Some of the dishes are new and some are classics back by popular demand,” says Matt Schmitt, kitchen manager. “What they all have in common are the freshest ingredients and interesting flavor combinations.”

A seasonal dish getting permanent ink on the menu is the Caprese Burger, featuring fresh mozzarella, seasoned tomato, fresh basil and balsamic reduction.

General Manager Elena Rego confesses her favorite dish is the Honey Bee Pie, which is a traditional crust pizza topped with sauce, cheese, pepperoni, bacon, jalapeno, ricotta cheese and locally harvested honey.

“There’s something indescribably wonderful about that hit of hot-spicy-sweet within the flavor profile,” she says.

Since they opened their doors, the Clevelander Pie has remained one of the most-ordered pizzas on the Danny Boys menu. And the newest member of its ranks is the Social Clevelander Pie, made like a classic Clevelander but vegetarian, with heaps of fresh spinach, tomato, yellow peppers, mushrooms, basil and garlic. “The name is perfect. This pie will get you talking,” says Elena.

Pineapple Nachos, the Chicken Parm Stacker and Buffalo Crunch Burger are also standouts on the new menu.

Not Too Early to Book Holiday Parties

Elena says they are already starting to book dates for holiday parties. Whether for corporate events or family parties, the semiprivate half of the restaurant, complete with a bar, seats 50.

“We’ve also recently beefed up our catering menu,” she adds.

“From a 10-person tailgating party to a holiday celebration for hundreds, we can handle it. I often have people call me with an upcoming party that they have no idea how to plan food for. That’s our specialty.”

If people want something not on the menu (see it at DannyBoysCatering.com), let her know and she can custom create anything you want.

Here We Go Brownies, Here We Go
As if the nine flat screen TVs blasting the Browns games aren’t enough, Danny Boys offers a myriad of specials to make game day your favorite day.

“Every year our legion of Browns fans grows,” says Elena.

“Nothing goes better with a game than wings, and that’s why we offer our 59-cent wings special. For those looking for more of a meal, we’re also introducing the Dine-In Cheeseburger, Fries and a Pint of Yuengling Premium Light special, for only $8.99.”

In addition to games, the restaurant has earned a reputation as a great place to listen to live music. Check their FB page for loads of other musicians headlining at Danny Boys.

Whether you are looking for family friendly, date night, party central or best spot to watch the game, Danny Boys’ signature charm lies in its nostalgic backdrop of all things classic: Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, the Rat Pack, The Godfather, original albums and vintage cars.
