“Be loyal to your future, not your past.”

Health and life coach Heather Kuchar puts a new inspirational quote on the chalkboard in her office each day at Healthy Attractions in Fairlawn. And this one is at the core of everything she does.

“I ask my clients, ‘You only have this one body, this one life, why wouldn’t you make it the best you can?’” says Heather. “Through wellness programs, I curate the latest information and customize it to meet my clients’ needs.”

She founded Healthy Attractions earlier this year to coach people to improve their overall health potential—overhauling their life from nutritional, fitness and motivational levels.

What is a Health Coach?
Many of Heather’s clients are doctors, surgeons, professors and professional people, and she thinks that might be because these folks have a true understanding of what a health coach can do for their life.

“This is not a short-term effort,” she says. “My clients gain the skills to achieve their optimum wellness on a sustainable basis for the rest of their lives.”

She offers three different programs: a 90-Day Program with 12 one-on-one coaching sessions for a total journey to wellness, a Six-Week Self-Discovery Program, and a Two-Week Detox to reset nutritional health.

A nice perk of working with Heather is that you can also attend her yoga classes in the beautiful yoga studio at Healthy Attractions.

Here’s What Her Clients Are Saying
For Marilyn C. of Akron, who was Heather’s first client at Healthy Attractions, the struggle began when she was going through a stressful transition, losing her job of 35 years.

“My mind, body and spirit were stressed out,” she says.

“Heather helped me come to a place of acceptance and stay on track with my health and wellness. I managed to lose 20 pounds and feel wonderful. Her knowledge and compassion never waiver and she is an inspiration to me. I take her Sunday yoga classes and they have been the best way to me to push the reset button before starting the week.”

Pat D. of Akron read about Heather’s coaching in a past issue of Mimi Magazine and thought she would give her a call.

“I had struggled with my weight in the past,” says the busy professional.

“I was a classic guilt-eater. Through a lot of listening and talking, Heather taught me it’s okay to veer off my eating plan once in a while, focusing more on my long-term health and wellness. She helped me understand what a difference eating clean and exercising daily can make in your life. After eight weeks with her, I’ve already dropped a dress size.”

Polly P. of North Canton suffers from leukemia. Though she is in remission, IV-treatments to boost her immune system have taken a toll.

“The fluids had made me gain weight and I felt terrible, out of shape and was eating the wrong foods,” she says.

“I started working with Heather on the Two-Week Detox, losing 10 pounds. Her support and coaching not only changed what I was eating but also helped me to understand how and why. She taught me breathing techniques for calming myself down before thinking about grabbing a snack.”

Polly remained with Heather after the initial program and has continued to lose weight.

“Her knowledge about weight loss helped me realize how eating clean, organic foods can make a difference in every part of my life,” she continues.

“I feel amazing, not as tired as I used to be, and my mind is clearer.”
