Though personal trainer Celena Koerber is an industrial engineer, she tells her clients not to get bogged down with numbers when it comes to fitness.

“When you start an exercise program, don’t get fixated on your body measurements or weight,” says Celena, owner of 2piFit. “I take a 360-degree approach to health and fitness and a focus on the whole person, which includes the mind and body.”

“If you are tired of yo-yo diets and not getting results, I can show you how to attain a lifelong sustainable way of living,” she says. “I primarily work with busy professional women who want to lose fat, gain strength, relieve stress, and feel confident and beautiful from the inside out.”

“As an industrial engineer, I am very systems focused and process focused, and bring that element into how I work with my clients,” says Celena, who is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer, fitness nutrition specialist and corrective exercise specialist. “It is not just a cookie-cutter program where I throw exercises and calorie restrictions at you. Instead, I take you on a journey.”

There are no sessions here, as each client’s fitness program is customized to meet specific goals and includes nutrition and lifestyle management.

“My initial fitness assessment looks at how clients move, their flexibility, their strength and where there may be some limitations or muscle imbalances, and then I look at core stabilization and getting each person’s body prepped for exercises,” she explains. “Ninety-nine percent of the time my clients have to start with some type of corrective exercise to fix their muscle imbalances.”

Celena also provides a nutrition guide so clients can understand how to choose the right amount of quality macros and how to meal plan.

Living by the mantra, “you are stronger than your excuses,” Celena helps her clients find ways and time to exercise.

Last year Celena Koerber opened 2piFit, which is tucked behind Tack & Boots in Sharon Center. Here the focus is on functional fitness. In addition to traditional equipment like treadmills, there are tires, battle ropes, boxing punching bags and slam balls.

“I remind my clients that they can come up with every excuse in the book of why they can’t do something, so it always comes down to their mindset. Each person has to change the way he or she views things in order to get their body in shape.”

Celena’s own personal transformation is what motivated her to become a personal trainer in addition to working as an engineer. Growing up in Middleburg Heights, Celena was active in softball, track, gymnastics and cheerleading, but years later found herself feeling sluggish after her son was born.

“I suffer from Lyme disease and autoimmune issues, and five years ago I was bedridden for months. I finally said enough is enough and changed my mindset. The transformation for me was not so much how I changed physically, but more how I changed mentally. The most important step in the process is getting your mind right.”

“Once I took that first step and saw how much better I felt, I wanted to help other people and in 2017 I launched 2piFit,” she says. Initially she went to clients’ homes to offer personal training, but last year she opened her own studio tucked behind Tack & Boots in Sharon Center, where the focus is on functional fitness. In addition to traditional equipment like treadmills, there are tires, battle ropes, boxing punching bags and slam balls.

“I find what works best for each person and make fitness fun,” she says. “My goal is to educate, inspire and motivate people to achieve lasting results and become the best version of themselves.”

2piFit is located at 1327 Sharon Copley Road (behind Tack & Boots) in Sharon Township. For more information, call 440-591-8668 or visit 2piFit.com.
