Choosing a contractor can be like playing the lottery—and in most cases you don’t win. One sure bet, however, is APPC Plumbing Services.

In business for two decades, APPC Plumbing Services is the go-to company when it comes to all things plumbing for the home. With a visible storefront on Pearl Road, homeowners can stop in and talk to any of the dozen employees about their plumbing concerns. And when people call, even the employees who answer the phones are knowledgeable about plumbing.

“Our business continues to grow each year, mostly due to word-of-mouth referrals from happy customers,” says Eric Schroeter, who owns the business along with his son, Keith.

“We just had a call this morning from a Brunswick homeowner, referred to us by a neighbor, who needed a faucet installed. When driving over to do the job, we recognized many of the houses up and down the street from other jobs we have done over the years.”

This locally owned family business has built its reputation on honesty and expertise.

Growing up in upstate New York, Eric worked in the family hardware store that was a precursor for the do-it-yourself big home improvement stores.

“When I moved to Ohio and started APPC Plumbing, I wanted to duplicate the same philosophy of the neighborhood hardware store, where employees educate each customer so he or she can make an informed decision,” says Eric.

“Our shop is a place where people can visit with their plumbing questions and problems—and find the right solutions. We don’t have any salesmen here, just experienced plumbers.”

The company also is a service provider to large home improvement retailers.

“The large volume of steady business allows us to always have plenty of manpower,” says Eric, noting they have a fleet of 14 trucks and vans. “We can generally service homeowners on the same day or next day.”

“Usually when someone calls us, it is a crisis,” he adds. “We bring a sense of calm and provide rapid response.”

The licensed, bonded and insured plumbers can take care of every type of plumbing concern, including water heater installation and repair; sewer and drain cleaning; gas, water and sewer line repair; bathroom and kitchen plumbing fixture replacement and repairs; garbage disposal replacement; sump pumps and grinder pumps; and, if needed, excavation.

“We have geared our focus to the needs of the residential consumer, whether it is a small repair like a leaking faucet, installing a new water heater or having to excavate to dig up a blocked sewer line,” says Eric, proudly noting APPC’s Better Business Bureau Gold Star Rating.

“We combine our online presence with a brick-and-mortar business right down the street, so if there is a problem we are here.”

“We realize and appreciate that our company’s continued growth is due to our loyal employees and customers,” he comments. “And we are thankful to be part of this community.”
