Acclaim Renovations & Design celebrates 20 years

Very few locally owned home remodeling companies reach the milestone of 20 years in the business.

For Bob Gallese, founder of Acclaim Renovations & Design, the path has taken him from working for a large national remodeling company to founding One Man and a Hammer in 1999, eventually branching out to become Acclaim in 2015. What began as a one-man operation evolved into administrative staff, crews of skilled tradesmen and moving into a glamorous showroom that features all the latest in cabinetry, countertops, flooring and more.

“Since I was a boy who learned to appreciate woodworking alongside my grandfather, who was a Master Carpenter, I have loved this craft,” says Bob. “I guess you could say I’ve come full circle.”

Along the way, he orchestrated protocols and practices. When it comes to honesty and integrity, there’s no gray area in Bob’s world, or the people who work for him. Unlike many in his industry, he has always steadfastly refused to cut corners, whether in products or workmanship.

He also refused to rest on his laurels, always seeking ways to grow and improve the company. He joined a roundtable of other home remodelers across the country to discover new ideas. And he attends national trade shows to stay ahead of the curve.

Within his industry, his level of professionalism has garnered stellar reviews, accolades and awards too numerous to print. One that he’s especially proud of is being named Contractor of the Year by NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry).

“I’ve always considered our loyal clients to be a big part of our success,” says Bob. “And I’m grateful for the opportunity to help them create their dream homes.”
