The autumn years are golden years at The Echelon of Medina, a new and unique senior living community that combines the best of the health and hospitality fields.

A cornucopia of amenities covers the grounds comprised of two distinct buildings—one for independent living and the other for assisted living/secure memory care.

“It’s the ultimate senior living experience—an ideal environment where our members feel not only safe and secure but also independent with assistance,” says Jeff Risner, owner/operator of The Echelon, along with his wife, Jill Risner.

As needs change from one season to the next, the two distinct parts of the senior living community make it possible to provide a continuum of care.

“As members age, there will seldom ever come a time when their needs become too great that we can no longer care for them,” says Jeff.

You or your loved one can be home at The Echelon for the holidays—one-bedroom suites start at $1,940/month.

The first members of the 100-suite independent living community moved in last July and are welcoming their neighbors.

Activities Abound
Life opens up through concierge service, chef-prepared meals and luxury amenities. Whether members are out walking garden paths, relaxing in the old-fashioned English pub or the Himalayan salt room, or making use of any of the other amenities offered, they’re safe and secure.

The Echelon couples its unique capability with a commitment to competence and compassion, and actively cultivates experiences. Lush green walls—vertical gardens—greet visitors and calm members while filtering out pollutants. A safe, half-mile walking path meanders around the property, and there’s even a dog park.

“The Echelon is the first of its kind. It’s something you not only have to see but also experience,” says Jeff.

The independent living community has seven different floor plans ranging from 510 square feet to 1,140 square feet, and the assisted living and memory care community has six different floor plans ranging from 447 square feet to 798 square feet. An extensive choice of floor plans creates space for variable pricing options.

Space is limited, and Jeff and Jill invite you or your loved one to join them at their table over the holidays before the snow settles in.

“The Echelon rivals a five-star hotel,” says Jeff.

Meals are chef-prepared and can be made to order any time, day or night.

“Food is medicine,” says Jill. “We do things differently, and eating is one. Food binds us together, across the table and out in the community—from farm to table. That’s why, whenever possible, we use locally-sourced ingredients. When you start with the highest quality, natural, organic ingredients, that’s when you feel you’re sitting down with a family.”

At her side, her husband Jeff nods and sums up by adding, “The Echelon is catered living.”
