“I love analyzing ways to improve the client experience.” —Mary Malloy Siskovic
Since Today’s Headlines opened its Strongsville salon—an offshoot of the original company started by Colin Lively before he was lured to the prestigious Kenneth Salon in New York City—it has been well-known in the area for accentuating clients’ hair, eye and skin color to emphasize their most remarkable features. Under new owner Mary Malloy Siskovic's watch, that reputation will continue, she promises. She’s been with the salon since 1997.
In March 2016, Today’s Headlines began to feature up-and-coming Kenra Color as the salon’s primary hair coloring.
Mary knows a little about coloring.
Before joining the original Today’s Headlines Strongsville team, Mary was among the local hair coloring elite, having worked as a Goldwell color educator and having made frequent appearances on The Morning Exchange on Channel 5. Mary joined Today’s Headlines as a stylist when it opened its Strongsville location.
Mary’s daughter, Cassie, has followed in her mother’s footsteps. She is the regional education manager and platform artist for Kenra Color, taking the stage with nationally famous stylists like Guy Tang and David Lopez. Cassie helped transition Today’s Headlines into a Kenra Color salon.
A Team Effort
Today’s Headlines is bucking the trend of leasing beauty stations out to self-employed stylists. That’s because Mary wants her team members to work together—not compete with each other—to maintain a balance in their personal and professional lives and achieve a fabulous client experience each and every visit. Mary provides the highest level of stylist education in the salon on a regular basis. She sets a high level of expectation for technicians to continually grow in their knowledge and inspiration within the beauty industry and treats and compensates her highest level of professionals like partners. It is her goal to employ the very best professionals in the industry, who have the same passion as she does for providing Today's Headlines clients, with and exceptional salon experience, found nowhere else.
