In the human world, we often hear that patience is a virtue. Some of us possess a great deal of patience and many others lack tolerance when having to wait for a person or an event. Sometimes the wait feels unbearable and every minute an eternity.
What must it feel like for rescued animals residing in shelters?

As potential adopters walk the echoing halls, peer through the cages, and make judgment on a specific pet, we can only imagine what that orphan might be thinking.

Is it my turn?  Will they like me?  Do I have the right look?  Am I too big? Then, after an explosion of adrenaline for what might happen, the footsteps disappear from the hall and the waiting begins once again. This can go on for months, or, in Anderson’s situation, years.

So many deserving animals, so few committed homes. We always say to plan for up to 15 years of togetherness with your feline or canine friend and that any time over that is a true bonus. Do you have what it takes to be an excellent pet parent? Can you provide a safe home? Do you value companion pets?  If you can answer “Yes” to these questions, we have your next best friend awaiting your visit.
