You don’t have to travel to New York, Chicago, Austin, or Nashville to hear top-flight entertainment. It’s right here in your backyard in Northeast Ohio. Our home-grown singer/songwriters performing original music have been gaining a loyal following over the past several years, with some lauded major national exposure. The quality of their work has been that good. So who is the next local favorite you need to seek out?
Rachel Brown has a voice that will make you think you’re not in Cleveland anymore. By day, the Medina native teaches music and choir at an Elyria middle school. But the dream of performing has never left her since she first ...

By Georjette Thomas
Different life experiences shape the way we see our world and, oddly, abandoned, abused and neglected pets still see the glass as half full. Once in a place of security, their scars will heal, confidence grows and they learn to trust. When this is accomplished, we see their zest for life appears—and what a wonderful thing it is to witness and be a part of.
Gigi is an extraordinary dog looking for a home. After waiting in an animal control facility for two months, this sweet girl experienced a seizure. Because seizures will not be managed in a “pound,” she was sure to meet with a harsh fate. Her wonderful temperament assured Gigi ...

Armed with degrees in exercise science and sports management, we have teamed up with other certified trainers and instructors to bring new fitness options to the area. By Karin Shulin
Abel was pulled from a high kill shelter in southern Ohio. Apparently they could not afford to vet or even feed him. He is so thin, but we will fix that.
He is now fully vetted, has had all of his shots and is neutered. Abel is about six months old and we think he has greyhound ears, body build and tail, with some pointer in him as well.
A fenced yard is a must as he is a sight hound.
Abel is very sweet with a white tip on his tail, a white stripe on his face and white paws. He is a beauty to watch run with the other dogs. He would be a great jogging partner when grown.
Abel is crate trained and is a quiet dog. He gets alon ...

Fiber.
Now, it’s a very specific ...

By Dr. Jeff Christian
For many women, birth control pills offer the most convenient and manageable method of family planning and cycle control. For most, the Pill is an inexpensive, widely available product that delivers reliable birth control. There are, however, many other women who get side effects from the Pill, or who feel trapped into taking birth control because they feel it is the only alternative to having heavy menstrual cycles.
Exciting new technologies now offer alternatives to women who no longer want or need the Pill for family planning. Reversible, implantable birth control uses low to no hormone medication and produces excellent results without the n ...

Is Your Furnace Really Safe?

by on 01/15/2013 - 03:13 pm
Category: Home

By Andy Pech
We commonly receive calls from customers stating that their furnace has been shut down because a technician has told them that their heat exchanger is cracked. In most cases, when we visit their home and do a proper inspection, no cracks are found. Unfortunately, this is a common “tactic” used to scare customers into purchasing a new furnace.
The heat exchanger is the heart of a forced air furnace. Combustion takes place inside the heat exchanger and the burnt flue gases exhaust out of the chimney or plastic vent piping. Cooler air from your home is circulated around the outside of the heat exchanger and is then blown into your home. After yea ...
